My hubby called to let me know he and two baby ducks had a really bad day–I said WHAT are you talking about???? He told me he was driving through our neighborhood & all of a sudden two baby ducks ran out in front of him. He swerved but couldn’t avoid hitting one, feeling extremely sad he jumped out of the truck to try & save the other duck & out of the blue, a hawk swooped down & grabbed it. My hubby was utterly shocked that this happened & thought it was extremely odd that the baby ducks died in two very different ways–within seconds of one another. Sad but true story, so there you have it, some ducks just didn’t make it:(

Ok…2 things. What an incredibly sweet husband you have to stop and help the “least of these” and, two, that is just about the most tragic thing I’ve heard in a long time. Holy shnikes that’s harsh. 😛 I guess the good thing is his today can be anything but better than his yesterday. 🙂

OMG, he was almost home when he called me, he sounded pitiful. He said: I went to pick up the other duck to bring it home and take care of it, this evil bird just shot from the sky! The odd thing is we don’t usually see ducks in our neighborhood, there’s no pond, so no need for duck-crossing!!
