When my hubby and I were first married, we had our first family Christmas party in our new place. My hubbies family was over opening gifts & my brother-in-law seemed unusually excited for my hubby to open his gift— well we were very surprised, when he unwrapped a Prosthetic Leg. My BIL found in someone’s trash (I think, yuck) and thought it would be hilarious to give to us. We kept it in a closet for a while, then on special occasions my hubby would take it out for a unique conversation piece & a place to hold his beer. We finally severed (pun intended) our ties with it, just the thought of the previous owner’s nub in it, was very off-putting!

You’re right ! Though, I still have the visual memory & its quite disturbing! At the time we didn’t have any children, but now if we had it, I bet they would enjoy making up wild stories with the fake leg…LOL..
