A Few Fun Facts about Fort Wilderness Campground

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground has 750 luscious acres to explore. If you enjoy camping then you will love this magical experience. Not only are your family and friends welcome here, but your pets can reap the rewards also, if staying on-site at this fab retreat. No more pet motel for them, yes I said it, they’re in the big leagues now, because at Fort Wilderness they can tag along.  Woof!

You have three very different restaurants to choose from; Trails End, Mickey’s Backyard Barbecue, Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue plus they have Meadow Snack Bar and Crockett’s Tavern. Plenty to choose from, plus your very own Tent, Cabin or RV site for a home cooked meal and don’t forget the s‘mores, everyone’s favorite campfire treat, yum.

So many recreational activities you could spend days at Fort Wilderness Campground before you’ve even scratched the surface; Canoe, Kayak, Bicycle and Boat rentals, they also have Wagon rides, Horseback riding and Fort Wilderness Archery Experience and bonus a Petting Zoo.

If you’re a competitive family like mine and enjoy sports, you’ll love Fort Wilderness Campground. You can let your wild side loose and partake in Tennis, Arcade, Volleyball, Swimming, even a mean game of Checkers,  game on!

The campground is located in the Magic Kingdom Resort area and near Magic Kingdom Theme Park, it sits next door to other favorite Disney’s Resorts such as; Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian Resort.

There are extra magical moments you might not be aware of unless you’ve stayed in the Magic Kingdom Resort area, like the Electrical Water Pageant, Boat transportation to and from your resort and if you’re lucky~ a killer view of Wishes. If you crave more shopping and dining experiences, then hop over to your sister resorts within close proximity. Activities galore and so much more, head over to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground to stay or for a non-park day, you definitely won’t be bored.
